Padma Lakshmi has finally won the battle to be a mom. After years of struggling with endometriosis - a complex medical condition where the lining of the uterus grows in other areas of the body - the 39-year-old ex-model and Top Chef host gave birth to a healthy baby girl in New York City on Saturday. Padma’s rep has confirmed the news, adding that the baby has been named Krishna.

The Indian-born TV chef, 39, announced in October (09) that she was expecting her first child, branding the pregnancy a “medical miracle” after years of struggling with endometriosis, in which the lining of the uterus grows in other areas of the body.
